Texas Opioid Treatment Alliance of Texas

Quality Care, Equal Access, Patient Parity

Texas Opioid Treatment Alliance (TOTA) ensures quality of care, equal access to evidence based treatments, and advocacy related to patient parity for opiate addicted persons across Texas. The mission of Texas Opioid Treatment Alliance aims to reduce and eliminate the negative consequences of opiate addiction in our communities, to encourage healthier life-style related to at-risk public health behavior, and promote stronger families through multi-level prevention, education, interventions, and treatment. A multi-level approach includes age appropriateness, cultural relevancy, and language relevancy in an environment that is research and outcome based. TOTA aims to be a leader in the development of resources and services appropriate to persons afflicted with opiated addiction and the communities in which they reside.

Opioid addiction is a devastating disease involving body, mind and spirit. We believe that addiction is a treatable disease which manifests in many complex physical, behavioral, psychological and spiritual patterns. TOTA is committed to the concept that each patient is different and requires individualized levels and modalities of care. TOTA believes that empowering patients to participate in their own care is of the utmost importance for increasing individual and community quality of life outcomes.

Texas Opioid Treatment Alliance has been successfully advocating for provider and patients since 2000. The leadership and staff is dedicated to improving pharmacotherapy services in Texas through advocacy, funding, and the utilization of the latest advances in medication assisted treatments.
